The ADV 1 (Advanced One) is classified as a multi range rod: it bridges the gap between a rod like the NG+ with its remarkable playing action and the power of the long range rods like FMA and SP+. The ADV 1 carp rod is a well-proven tool with a fine pedigree. The design concepts have been derived from the work we have pursued with Danny Moeskops – a passionate carp angler and the finest caster in the world and Frank Warwick – now recognised as the leading angler from the new generation of legends in the sport. When you have the design input of Danny and Frank – you are directly buying into the experience and skills these two legends have accumulated over decades of angling and casting experience. Danny – a passionate carp angler also happens to hold all the significant world distance casting records and has held these for nearly 15 years. There is nobody walking the planet that has his records, experience or respect: his ability to contribute to a rod's design has kept him at the top for a generation. Frank Warwick is a very powerful distance caster and master carp angler. His thoughtful feedback and immense experience has helped create very successful rods in the past and has been significant in ADV 1. Frank has written thousands of thoughtful articles, contributed to 100's of advisory videos and now runs his own very successful bait company.
The ADV 1 is made in the two prime test curves – 3.25lb and 3.50lb and will cover UK venues and also guest on most Continental waters. The rods are finished with a low flash PTFE/Silicone sealant for high UV resistance. Fitted with Century SiC guides with a s50 configuration and tied in jet black thread and sealed with multiple coats of prime 2 pack epoxy. The ADV 1 is well balanced and feels light to hand directly as a result of the carbon fibres used internally and the lightweight factory manufactured carbon 1k-1k reel seat with matching carbon spacers. The lower grip is made from Japanese shrink rubber and trimmed with stainless steel, laser engraved band and butt cap. The subtle use of 1k-1k carbon fibre on the butt section and lower tip contributes towards increased hoop strength in the blank.
